Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdul Hameed Ismaeelzahi, Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan began his latest Friday sermon by recitation of the holy verse: «وَمَا هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَهْوٌ وَلَعِبٌ وَإِنَّ الدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ لَهِيَ الْحَيَوَانُ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ» [عنکبوت: 64] (This worldly life is nothing but an amusement and play, and the Last Abode is the real life indeed. Only if they know!) And said that Islam does not deny emotions of human beings for money and the worldly life. But it should in limits.
Talking to tens of thousands, Shaikh Ismaeelzahi pointed that Allah Almighty has created mankind from clay; this was the main element of mankind, then Allah blow in them His sprit. That is why human beings have two elements; the clay that attracts them to the materials and worldly tools. The second root is angelic; it pulls them in spiritual life and good deeds.
Delivering speech in the Grand Makki mosque, he added more, ‘Allah Exalted has gifted us two great blessings; the blessing of materials which are the food of our bodies. The second gift is worshipping and righteous deeds which are the nutrient of soul. The success and salvation of people lay in getting rid of the worldly things; then the person should worship only Allah Almighty and love Him and His messenger, Muhammad, peace blessings be upon him. This way leads to Allah and the Paradise.’
The eminent Islamic scholar further said that therefore Allah Almighty has forbidden people to love money and the material means more than enough. No doubt that the worldly life is attractive, but no one should exhaust himself striving to earn more and more. Some people violate the due rights of others and Allah Almighty in the path of earning money; it is very bad and sinful act. Love of money, which is more than the love of Allah and His Messenger, is prohibited.
‘The person who is not ready to expend on the path of Allah, can not sacrifice his/her life for the sake of Allah. So, as Holy Qur’an orders, expend on the way of Allah,’ he added more.
Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah further said that some rulers in the Middle East launch crackdown against their own citizens, they have been massacring peaceful protestors by heavy guns; the main reason is their love and uncontrollable interest in power and worldly life, they are real worldly-minded rulers who shed blood of people to prolong counted days of their repressive rule on innocent people.
He went on to say that recently a case emerged in Iran that millions of dollars were stolen and embezzled. It has been disclosed as well that some ousted Arab rulers had thousands of dollars in their secret bank balances. All these prove that people commit such unprecedented crimes to earn more and more, they were slaves of money.
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan pointed out towards the recited verse and said that it is a lucid fact that this worldly life is an amusement and play. As, nowadays we see, players get exhausted from playing and their fans from watching and following matches; we also will be tired of this mortal life and will reach soon to our graves. We must harass our selves in the way of Allah not earning and grabbing money.
Imam and Khateeb of Sunnis underlined saying, ‘Our deeds climb up to Allah; it has come in the Qur’an: “إِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ الْكَلِمُ الطَّيِّبُ وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ يَرْفَعُهُ” (Towards Him ascends the pure word, and the righteous deed uplifts it.), so we should carry out good deeds always and imitate Allah and His Messenger. Then we would go up towards Allah Almighty one day. He bestowed Ja’far Tayyar two wings in the ground of Jihad when his arms were cut. Ja’far climbed up and the companions observed the scene.’
Shaikh Abdul Hameed further said that as righteous deeds forward people to Allah, in the same way misdeeds get people away from Allah and Paradise. The consequence of such desperate people is “earth” according Holy Qur’an meaning the Hell.
He addressed the audience saying, ‘Allah Exalted mentioned the stories of previous nations and rulers to give us a lesson; the arrogant rulers spurned the advice of sympathizer people and prophets, in result, Allah punished them in this world smiting them before crowds of people and they would be punished very severely in the next world as well. So do not grip with money all the time, take care of others’ rights and offer your duties well.’
In the last part of his speech, Shaikh Ismaeelzahi indicated to the critical situation of country’s economy and swaying prices in markets and asked the related authorities to take serious steps for solving the crisis.
Pointing out to the demise of some Sunni scholars in last week, Shaikh expressed his regret over the departure of Shaikh Alawi in Saravan city and Shaikh Hussienzahi in Zaboli city of Baluchistan where another scholar Shaikh Mustafa Jangizahi was shot dead by unknown people in Sarbaaz.
He said that assassination of scholars and academians is an unacceptable act.
