The outstanding Sunni leader, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed Ismaeelzahi, vilified Muslims’ massacre in Burma (Myanmar) asking Muslim rulers to cut off political and trade relations with Myanmar regime.
Talking to tens of thousands in the Grand Makki Masjid of Zahedan, Iran, he stated, ‘Burma’s Muslim community is a minority community; mostly minorities suffer from lots of problems as they complain always. Burma’s Muslims are in the worst condition across the world regretfully. They have been forced to depart their homeland or inhabitate in refugees’ camps. Recently, thousands of them were massacred by Buddhist fanatic gangs.’
Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah added more, ‘We decry that tragedy harshly asking the international communities and human rights activists to strive for quick resolution and bar of Muslims’ massacre in Burma.’
He called on Muslim states’ rulers to cut off their political and commercial ties with Myanmar by banishment of Myanmar’s ambassadors and calling back their representatives in that country. Shaikh said that it would deter Myanmar’s rulers and Muslims would have a better condition over there.
