Sunnis’ Khateeb and Friday Imam in Zahedan, Iran, termed “sound heart” essential for salvation on the Judgment Day calling on the audience to conduct an accountability at the end of Ramadan.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid began his Friday sermon of July 25, 2014 by the Noble Qur’anic verses: «یوم لا ینفع مال و لا بنون * الا من اتی الله بقلب سلیم», (The Day when neither wealth will be of any use (to any one) nor sons, * except to him who will come to Allah with a sound heart). He said, “The Noble Qur’an has introduced the Accountability Day very with excellent words by the tongue of the Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him. It is a day where neither wealth nor sons will be of any use; only sound heart and free of corruption, hypocrisy and Shirk (polytheism) can help mankind.”

The great Islamic scholar introduced ‘sound heart’ in his words saying, “The sound heart is a heart without any arrogance; a heart that does not feel proud and superiority to others. If a heart loves wealth as stops the man to pay Zakah and support poor and needy people or offer prayers on time, then it is not a sound heart. A clean heart avoids sins and misdeeds asking for the forgiveness of Allah all the time.”

“If a heart suffers from decay and corruption, then it prefers misdeeds on obedience and guidance. Fasting has been declared necessary (Fardh) to purify people from inside. Thanks to Sawm (fasting), the motive of obeying Allah and Sunnah can be created. The Almighty has paved the way for approaching Him and the Paradise. Allah awaits repentance of His servants, but we are not heading towards Allah,” he added more.

In a part of his speech, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan shed light on the importance of serving parents and said, “Parents are opportunities for us to enter Paradise by serving them. Take the advantage of this opportunity. If they are alive, serve them and if they have passed away, then pray to Allah for their forgiveness and higher positions in the Paradise.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid concluded his points in this part of his sermon by addressing the audience,

“The blessing month of Ramadan is going to leave us; now we should be worried whether Allah forgave us or not? Are we among ‘accepted’ servants of Allah or ‘refused’ ones whom Gabriel cursed and the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said ‘Ameen’!”

Arrogant powers should take lesson from their predecessors
The leading Sunni Imam in Iran called on the Zionist rulers and their supporters to take lesson from the end of their predecessors as Ariel Sharon, the ex PM of Israel, fought with agony for years.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid mentioned the ongoing situation of Muslims around the world “critical” and said, “Today Muslims live in a critical situation with worries. Muslim states have disputes and rulers do not pay enough attention to their masses. Gaza has been under the fire of Zionist criminal forces; the international community is looking at the issue carelessly.”

At the end of his speech, he thanked the people of Zahedan for their huge presence in anti-Israeli rally on the Quds Day.
