Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hameed Ismaeelzahi started his recent Friday speech on Friday, December 28, 2012 by reading the noble Qur’anic verse: «وَاتَّقُواْ يَوْمًا تُرْجَعُونَ فِيهِ إِلَى اللّهِ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ» [بقره: 281], (Be fearful of a day when you shall be returned to Allah, then every person shall be paid, in full, what he has earned, and they shall not be wronged.)

He said human beings can get salvation by adopting Shari’ah; it saves everyone from divine punishment. The world would end along with Islam; it is the last and selected religion of Allah. Any new nation, Ummah, would not come. The message of the noble Qur’an and Islam is eternal; it addresses mankind every time. Sermons of the Qur’an may be repetitious for some of you, but we need to remind each other about the messages of Allah.

Mawlana Abdol-Hameed added more, “Allah Almighty has warned every human being via the Qur’an that there is a hard way towards the Hereafter. We should be vigilant and get ready to overcome the possible difficulties. The Angel of Death is before us. We have to face accountability on the Judgment Day. After death, either Allah announces His pleasure or anger from the dead servant. So be alert for that day; collect some good deeds and get provision for difficult time of after death.”

A Muslim must be responsible and carry out all of his/her duties correctly. A Muslim should avoid misdeeds completely. Do not violate others’ rights, do not shed the blood of innocent people and never arrogate; for that you will be standing one day in front of your Lord. The angels note and register whatever you do, say or think. The noble Qur’an warns us to save the lives from the Fire of Hell, he underlined.

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan urged on utilizing the given time of this life, saying, “Carry out Allah’s commands correctly and meet your Lord with credible tenets. Offer prayers and pay Zakah of your wealth. Do not miss the opportunity of the life; bring good deeds into action and have a sober behaviour with the servants of Allah. Do not pass long nights of the winter in sleeping and watching; specify some parts for worship.”

Pointing out to the conditions of pious people after demise, he said when good people die, the angels give them glad news at their death. Allah addresses them: «یا أیتها النفس المطمئنة ارجعی إلی ربک راضیة مرضیة فادخلی فی عبادی وادخلی جنتی», ([To the righteous soul will be said:] “O (thou) soul, in (complete) rest and satisfaction! Return unto thy Lord, well-pleased and well-pleasing. So, enter among My (special) servants, And enter My Paradise.) Such bondmen of Allah did not commit sins; they worshiped Him sincerely with acceptable beliefs. Assiduity is must in deeds; Allah Exalted says: « إِنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوا تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَلَّا تَخَافُوا وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا بِالْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ*نَحْنُ أَوْلِيَاؤُكُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِي أَنفُسُكُمْ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَدَّعُونَ» [فصلت: 30-31], (Verily those who say: our Lord is Allah, and have thereafter stood fast by it,- upon them there shall come down the angels: fear not, nor grieve, and rejoice in the tidings of the Garden which ye have been promised. We have been your friends in the worldly life, and (will remain as such) in the Hereafter. And for you here is whatever your souls desire, and for you here is whatever you call for. A gift of welcome from the Most-forgiving, the Very-Merciful.)

At the end of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed stated, “The worldly life is unstable; every soul has to taste death. The important point is that in which circumstances we would meet Allah? This is the question we must ask it all the time from ourselves.”
