Shaikh Abdol-Hamid alluded to the formation of 12th cabinet in Iran and termed appointment of Sunni minister an opportunity for the new government. <\/p>\n
Talking to tens of thousands worshipers in Zahedan on 28th July, 2017, Khateeb of Zahedan said: \u201cIt is the due right of the Iranian nation to have \u2018capable\u2019, \u2018strong\u2019 ministers and directors.\u201d<\/p>\n
He termed the atmosphere in which the 12th Iranian cabinet is going to be formed \u2018critical\u2019 and said: \u201cThis government is being formed in a sensitive and very critical situation.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe president variously has stated that the 12th government will be different than the 11th government,\u201d Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cWeak ministers create discontent. The draftsmen should consider the capabilities and qualification of appointed ministers and directors.\u201d<\/p>\n
The most influential Iranian Sunni leader called on the government to reject the pressure of particular parties and wings. He said: \u201cThere are some groups and parties who put pressure on the government to dictate the president and impose their wanted ministers. In such cases only the qualification of directors, pleasure of people and national interests should be considered.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe most important thing is the consent and willingness of people not some figures and parties. The 12th cabinet should be national and only strong capable people should be appointed,\u201d he underlined.<\/p>\n
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: \u201cKeeping in mind the regional and international, especially internal conditions, the 12th government should appoint Sunni minister.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cNot only we consider the interests of the Sunni community, but also we consider the interests of Shia community and whole Iran and Muslim world by suggesting the government to appoint Sunni ministers. It will have an international reflection proving the open-mindness of the leaders of Islamic republic of Iran,\u201d the rector of Darululoom Zahedan said. <\/p>\n
Encouraging the government of Dr. Rouhani, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid called on him to refuse the objections of narrow-minded elements regarding the appointment of Sunni minsters and governors. He said: \u201cAppointing capable Sunnis on higher positions is a service to Islam and Shia community around the world as all will take a lesson; they would know how to behave with their minorities.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe narrow-minded sides have put Iran back. Those who consider sect the \u2018standard\u2019 of qualification and differentiate Sunnis from Shias, they are not wise men of the nation,\u201d he added more. <\/p>\n
Khateeb of Sunnis further said: \u201cWe should have a global approach and extend our views by engaging Sunnis more in appointment and justly distribution of posts. It is our sympathy for the country and we believe in a united Ummah.\u201d<\/p>\n
Entrusting competent members of the nation in appointment, a clear example of trusteeship<\/strong> \u201cTrusteeship has been introduced as a great and vast principle in Islam that covers all aspects of human life. The Noble Qur\u2019an, Shari\u2019ah commands, teachings of the prophet PBUH and even our body parts are trusts in our hands. We should protect them well,\u201d he added more.<\/p>\n Shaikh Abdol-Hamid pointed out to some narrations from the prophet PBUH and said: \u201cThe last messenger of Allah has said: \u00ab\u0644\u0627 \u0625\u06cc\u0645\u0627\u0646 \u0644\u0645\u0646 \u0644\u0627 \u0623\u0645\u0627\u0646\u0629 \u0644\u0647 \u0648 \u0644\u0627 \u062f\u06cc\u0646 \u0644\u0645\u0646 \u0644\u0627 \u0639\u0647\u062f \u0644\u0647\u00bb; \u201cThere is no faith for the one who cannot be trusted. There is no religion for the one who cannot uphold a covenant<\/em>.\u201d The words \u2018iman<\/em>\u2019 and \u2018amanah<\/em>\u2019 have been derived from one infinitive. Iman has roots in \u2018amn<\/em>\u2019 and removing fear. Trustable people are the ones from whom no one fears. Rather people feel safe with them.\u201d<\/p>\n The Hadith teacher of Darululoom Zahedan alluded to another Hadith in this regard and said: \u201cOnce a day, the prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, was among his companions, in response to a question he said: “When honesty is lost, then wait for the Hour.” It was asked, “How will honesty be lost, O Allah’s Messenger?” He said, “When authority is given to those who do not deserve it, then wait for the Hour<\/em>.”<\/p>\n \u201cThe people in Middle East stood against incompetent rulers. The Iranian nation\u2019s uprising was also to topple the rule of incompetent rulers and authorities,\u201d he underlined.<\/p>\n Shaikh Abdol-Hamid concluded his points and said: \u201cStill there are some rulers and presidents in the Muslim states who refuse to hear their nations. But they massacre their people and enjoy the power, too.
