The prominent Iranian Sunni leader alluded to the recent disputes among some Muslim states and diplomatic rift in the Persian Gulf and called on Muslim leader to avoid addressing each other \u2018harshly\u2019 and harshly.<\/p>\n
Talking to tens of thousands Sunni worshipers in Zahedan on Friday 16th June, 2017, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: \u201cI\u2019d like to recommend the leaders of Muslim states to avoid from using bitter language against each other. Tension among Muslim countries has already intensified; as much as the statements and words are acidly, the tensions and disputes get intensified. Even it may lead to war and military conflict.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cRather there should a soft language to get the countries closer to each other. When the camel to the prophet PBUH denied moving toward Makkah during the Treaty of Hudaybia, he said the Almighty had not wanted bloodshed in Makkah; whoever says something which ends to peace, I\u2019ll accept it. These words made the angry enemy ready for treaty. We should also seek peace and reconciliation imitating the Last Messenger of Allah,\u201d Mawlana Abdol-Hamid pointed.<\/p>\n
He further said: \u201cThe Iranian and Saudi officials and the leaders of the rest Muslim states should not address each other with harsh language. The arrogant opportunist powers want to misuse such rows.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Islamic Republic of Iran and the rest Islamic states should resolve their disputes by political channels and dialogue. Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and other Islamic states belong to Islam and Muslims not the US and other arrogant powers. Do not give chance to the US, Israel and Russia to misuse the disputes of Muslims,\u201d the most influential Iranian Sunni leader underlined.<\/p>\n
He added more: \u201cWe want the problems of Iraq and all crisis-hit states to be resolved in those countries. Those conflicts should not be elongated to Iran. We do not allow anyone to destabilize the peace of Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n
Iranian Sunnis refuse war & violence <\/strong> \u201cUnfortunately some insecurity incidents have taken place in the country. Some people entered the country with explosive materials. We think those sides that faced defeat in Iraq and Mosul, they want to retaliate and to take vengeance on other places,\u201d <\/p>\n The rector of Darululoom Zahedan underlined: \u201cThe Iranian nation, including Shias and Sunnis, does not want war and conflicts in the region; they hate war and violence. They have seen the fatal and ruinous fruits of war and conflict in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and the rest of crisis-hit countries.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIranian nation, especially the Sunni community strongly denies violence and war; because violence creates enmity and more problems for all. It stops the process of development and progress,\u201d Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said.<\/p>\n He urged more: \u201cThe Iranian Sunni community refuses violence backed by anyone. We have been waiting for 38 years to get our due rights, equality, religious freedom and meritocracy. Still we follow up the case of our rights peacefully via legal channels.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cIranian Sunnis supported Dr. Rouhani in the recent presidential election and it boosted their popularity at the authorities and Iranian nation. In the past 38 years, the Sunni community of Iran has supported the Islamic Republic of Iran; now hopes for fulfilling the demands of the nation, especially the Sunni community\u201d Shaikh Abdol-Hamid stated.<\/p>\n The principal of Darululoom Zahedan termed \u201cpolitical channel\u201d the best way to pursue the case of Sunnis\u2019 rights and said: \u201cWe think the best way to get the due legitimate rights is political channel. We\u2019d like to recommend about Iraq, Syria and other unstable countries to protect their unity and resolve the problems through political channels.\u201d<\/p>\n Stop destabilizing peace!<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019d like to ask all those who have taken guns and they consider me sympathetic to stop destabilizing peace and end violence. I beg those youth who have gone outside the country to not destabilize security of Iran and avoid from creating troubles,\u201d the most influential Iranian Sunni leader underlined.<\/p>\n Mawlana Abdol-Hamid added more: \u201cHowever there should not be any ban on criticism; the mouths should not closed. People should be free to speak out and logical statements should be free. We should reform the society by dialogue.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe Iranian Sunnis say whatever we want; as we are Iranian Muslims we ask the officials to avoid from sectarian prospects and tendencies. They should have national views and meritocracy should rule inside Iran. Sectarian discrimination harms Islamic Republic of Iran and our national unity,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n Shaikh Isma\u2019eelzahi concluded his points by saying: \u201cWe keep speaking out by the permission of the Almighty, but we do not allow anyone to kill others and destabilize the peace of the country. We are close to the fruit of our efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n Get the benefits of Ramadan<\/strong> He said: \u201cThe holy month of Ramadan passes its last days. The last ten days of Ramadan are a good opportunity to purify the soul from the dirt of sins and recompense weaknesses in worshipping the Almighty.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cStrive to make a provision for the rest 11 months and the journey of the everlasting life. The mercies of Allah cover all during Ramadan more than our imagination. We should worship Him more than past and cleanse selfishness and sins. \nAlluding to the recent wave of insecurity in the country, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged that violence and militancy had been refused by the Sunnis of Iran. He said \u201cdialogue and political channels\u201d are the best tools to demand legitimate rights.<\/p>\n
\nIn another part of his sermon, the Friday imam of Sunnis clearly questioned extremists: \u201cI ask those who wear explosive vests and explode themselves that whom you want to kill? What\u2019s the legal justification of massacring innocent people in mosques, markets and other public places? Who issued fatwa to carry out suicide attack in public places and gatherings and funeral ceremonies and kill innocent people? How will they answer before the Almighty on the Judgment day as they shed the blood of innocents?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nIn the first part of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid addressed the audience advising them to get benefits of the remaining days of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
