Criticizing unofficial pressures on some Sunni worshipers about Tarawih prayers, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged no one can forbid Sunnis from worshipping according to their faith and jurisprudence. <\/p>\n
The most influential Iranian Sunni leader said in his sermon of June 2, 2017 in Zahedan: \u201cAccording to the constitution Iranian Sunnis have equal rights to observe their religious rituals freely. No one can impose his own principles and standards on the followers of other sects,\u201d he added more.<\/p>\n
Expressing his concerns on some reports about banning Sunnis from establishing Tarawih prayers, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: \u201cSome short-sighted unofficial elements create troubles for Sunni citizens forbidding them from Tarawih prayers. While the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran has stressed Shias and Sunnis have equal rights and they are brothers with each other.\u201d<\/p>\n
Every year in Ramadan, Sunni citizens in Iran gather for Tarawih prayers in congregation in mosques. In some cities, especially in metropolises, they gather in prayer-houses where some of them face troubles created by fanatic elements.<\/p>\n
During hot days of Ramadan people suffer from power outage<\/strong> He said: \u201cOur people are patient as they tolerate difficulties; but the officials should not remain inactive as people suffer from energy problems during hot days in Ramadan.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe officials and other influential figures like Ulama and tribal elders should be with the people; even they should fulfil their unwanted demands,\u201d Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan concluded his points. <\/p>\n At the end of his sermon he expressed his deep sorrow on the demise of a senior teacher at Jamiat-ul-Haramayn of Chabahar, Mawlana Riayatullah Rawanbod who passed away today morning. He was suffering from cancer. <\/p>\n Benefit Ramadan to purify soul<\/strong> \u201cAllah Almighty cleans His servants from inward and outward dirt by those commands and projects. They are tolerable for mankind and fasting is one of the best and unexampled rituals which reform the man fully,\u201d the rector of Darululoom Zahedan urged.<\/p>\n He added more: \u201cRamadan is the month of the Qur\u2019an; we should recite as more as we can during Ramadan. It is the Sunnah of the prophet and for more benefits we should recite the Qur\u2019an more in this blissful month.\u201d<\/p>\n Calling on more worships during Ramadan, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: \u201cApart from the recitation of the Qur\u2019an and remembrance of Allah, donate on the path of Allah and spend your wealth on poor, orphans and needy people.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cAvoid from misdeeds in this month in order to get more benefits. The influence of observing fast which is piety can be obtained by leaving sins behind. The love of Allah enters in hearts which are free of misdeeds and bad tenets,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n Tarawih is a Sunnah of Rasoulullah PBUH<\/strong> He concluded his points and said: \u201cTarawih has not been legitimated by the second caliph, Sayyidana Omar bin al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him; rather it was legitimated by the prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him. Sayyidana Omar just gathered the people on one imam in Masjid-un-Nabi where they used to offer Tarawih in various congregations. \nIn another part of his speech on the first Friday of Ramadan 1438, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid asked the authorities to find an immediate solution for power outage in some areas.<\/p>\n
\nIn the first part of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said that Ramadan was a special opportunity to purify soul and build it spiritually.

\nAlluding to the importance of Tarawih prayers in the view of Ahl-us-Sunnah, Khateeb of Sunnis said: \u201cTarawih and Tahajjud are the other special rituals in Ramadan. We can benefit more from Ramadan by these worships which have approved by the authenticated Hadiths.\u201d<\/p>\n
