The main Fiqh academy of the Iranian Sunni community, Islamic Fiqh Academy of Iranian Sunnis, held its 22nd meeting in Darululoom Zahedan on 3-4 Dec. 2016.<\/p>\n
\u201cSunniOnline\u201d reported in the inaugural meeting, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed \u2018study and illumination of juridical issues\u2019 one of the main responsibilities of Ulama and Islamic scholars.<\/p>\n
The chairman of the academy said, \u201cUlama should examine the needs of the society including the new juridical issues and present working solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cForming and holding juridical meetings have roots in the Islamic history. The Guided Caliphs used to gather the Companions, may Allah be pleased with all of them, to exchange views and ideas about different juridical subjects. It was the manner of Imam Abu-Hanifah, too,\u201d Mawlana Abdol-Hamid pointed out.<\/p>\n
The Sunni experts who mainly belong to Sistan-Baluchistan, Khorasan Razavi, Khorasan Jonoubi and Golestan provinces, discussed four issues: \u2018Takaful insurance\u2019, \u2018service charges of banks\u2019, \u2018ranking bank customers\u2019 and \u2018survey of water wells\u2019. <\/p>\n
According to the issued resolution of the Islamic Fiqh Academy \u201csocial Takaful\u2019 which is based on endowment is lawful according to Shari\u2019ah. Muslim scholars and Ulama are supposed to work hard to spread the custom of Takaful in the society.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIf banks and financial foundations condition their facilities and loans with any particular amount and duration, it is unlawful,\u201d the resolution adds.<\/p>\n
As far as \u2018service charges of banks\u2019 is concerned, some essays were presented and read for the members of the academy. The Islamic Fiqh Academy formed a committee to examine the views and decide on the issue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
