Talking to tens of thousands worshippers in Zahedan, Iran, on Friday (30th Ramadan in Iran), Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said, \u201cDifferent committees of Ulama deployed for moon sighting in different regions. I strongly assure you the crescent of Shawwal has not been sought in Sistan-Baluchistan. We are sure today (17 July) is 30th Ramadan.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSome people claimed that they had seen the moon, but we could not confirm their testimonies. There are some rulings and principles for accepting testimonies. Once a time we refused testimonies of 27 persons.\u201d<\/p>\n
Keep remembering Allah after Ramadan<\/strong> He said, \u201cReciting the Qur\u2019an and its teachings is the biggest blessing and honor for this nation. It is the way to purify souls. Allah Almighty enjoins His last messenger to recite the Qur\u2019an for people and purify them.\u201d<\/p>\n He added more, \u201cWe always should remember the Almighty. He has ordered us to carry out some worships in the Qur\u2019an, but only in one place Allah asked us to frequently exercise a worship that is remembrance. Allah says: \u2018Believers, remember Allah much\u2019.\u201d In another place Allah says \u2018Allah’s remembrance is of even greater merit.\u2019 Thus we should always remember Him.\u201d<\/p>\n Khateeb of Sunnis called on the audience to keep worshipping and remembering Allah after the end of Ramadan, saying, \u201cAbide with the rituals and worships after Ramadan. Recite the Noble Qur\u2019an, offer prayers, donate on the path of Allah and do not show negligence in any worship.\u201d<\/p>\n At the end of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid asked worshippers to prepare for Eid prayers instantly after Fajr prayers.
