The Greatest Goodwill toward the Country Is to Listen to the People and Gain Their Satisfaction
<\/strong>According to a report by the news website of the office of the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: We hope that the ongoing negotiations, which aim to stop the war, will be successful and that both sides will reach an agreement. Of course, we do not know the details of this agreement, but we have repeatedly emphasized in the past the need for a just agreement. Those who were previously against this viewpoint, Alhamdulillah, now agree with it. In the past, many things were said that some people did not agree with and criticized, but eventually they realized that those statements were correct and right.
He further added: We are well-wishers of the country and the Iranian nation. We believe that the greatest goodwill toward the country is to listen to the Iranian people and gain their satisfaction. The country, government, and state belong to the people; therefore, efforts should be made to serve the people and win their consent.
He emphasized: We hope that a new era will begin in our country in which all the benefits of the country are returned to the people. National interests are very important, and everything should be sacrificed for the interests of the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Problems Should Be Solved With Wisdom and Prudence, Avoiding Violence
<\/strong>The Friday prayer leader of Zahedan stressed the need to avoid violence, and said: Violence breeds violence. Everyone should refrain from violence and problems should be solved with wisdom and prudence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kidnapping and Theft Are a Play with the Honor of Society; These Crimes Must Be Confronted
<\/strong>In another part of his speech at the grand Eid al-Adha gathering of the Sunni community in Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid strongly criticized the increasing incidents of certain crimes and social issues in Sistan and Balochistan \u2014 especially kidnapping and theft. He said: Unfortunately, extremely dangerous and shocking sins and evils exist in society, which deeply concern us. Acts that were once considered shameful and which people hated have now become common in society. Some of these evils have lost their sensitivity and have become normalized.
He added: Theft and kidnapping are extremely heinous crimes that have unfortunately spread in society. Theft is one of the major sins. A Hadith states that when a thief steals, his faith departs from him. Kidnapping, especially for ransom, is also a major sin, haram, and against Sharia. Even kidnapping people to recover debts is religiously impermissible. We have warned many times in the past that if the trend of kidnapping for debt recovery is not stopped, it will eventually turn into ransom kidnapping and destroy peace and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kidnappers and Thieves Should Fear Curses and Divine Punishment
<\/strong>The Friday Imam of Zahedan further stated: Kidnapping and theft are a mockery of the honor of the people and our society, and this brings shame and disgrace to any society or nation. I warn the kidnappers and thieves to fear curses and divine punishment, and to know that whoever engages in theft and extortion will very soon become the target of people\u2019s curses and Allah\u2019s torment.
He advised: My sincere advice to thieves and kidnappers is to fear Allah and the curses of the people, and to release as soon as possible the individuals or property currently in your possession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Judiciary and Security Officials Should Identify and Pursue Thieves and Kidnappers; Elders and Respectable Figures Should Also Take This Fight Seriously
<\/strong>The prominent Iranian religious scholar further said: People are very saddened and angry that those responsible for providing security are not performing their duties. If those in charge of security fail to fulfill their responsibilities, insecurity and corruption will spread twice as fast in society. If officials are corrupt or collude with criminal elements, the problems multiply. Therefore, security in the cities and on the roads of the province must be ensured. If even investors and job creators do not feel safe in the province, no one will be able to work here.
He demanded: We call upon the judiciary, police, and all institutions and officials responsible for the security of society to identify, pursue, and eradicate thieves and kidnappers, and not allow the peace of the region to be destroyed or its honor to be endangered. Tribal elders and notables should also take this fight against the crimes of kidnapping and theft seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many Are Trying to Fuel Ethnic and Tribal Prejudices; People Should Stay Alert
<\/strong>Mawlana Abdol-Hamid added: Besides satanic jinns, human devils are also trying to spread sin and corruption in society. We must not fall prey to sectarian disputes. Some sides, following the British policy of \u2018divide and rule,\u2019 are attempting to inflame ethnic and tribal prejudices among the tribes and different communities of the province and push our society back into the era of ignorance. However, people from all sections must remain vigilant and awake, maintain their unity, and collectively confront these evil crimes.
At the end of his speech, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid also warned about the rising trend of drug addiction and alcohol consumption in society and stressed the need to eradicate these evils.
