We must hold firmly to our faith, as preserving it in today’s conditions is challenging.
🔖 Today, some people sell their religion for worldly gains. Anyone who commits fraud or embezzles public funds has sold their faith.
🔖 Usury, bribery, corruption, embezzlement, and extortion are all examples of trading religion for worldly benefits. Today, piety, humanity, and religious commitment are scarce in society, which has led to corruption and decay. We must strive to rescue society from these crises.
🔖 Every morning and evening, the threat of divine punishment looms. Muslims and Islamic scholars today must warn people against sin and disobedience to God and His Messenger and encourage them toward lawful sustenance, religion, the Qur’an, and knowledge. Knowledge and awareness are the means of progress; a knowledgeable society is better than an ignorant one.
🔖 In the age of ignorance, the world was controlled by thieves, but with the advent of Islam, security was established, and no harm threatened the people. Religion brings security, progress, and comfort and prevents violations of others’ rights.
🔖 Everything forbidden by Allah is full of wisdom. Religion benefits humanity in both this world and the Hereafter. People turn away from religion because they misunderstand it, seeing only fallible believers rather than the faith itself.
🔖 Religion is pure and faultless. Implement Islam in your life wholeheartedly. Many impose their personal desires on religion, yet religion does not yield to anyone’s ego.
🔖 Some follow their passions to steal or unjustly take from public funds, justifying it as religiously permissible. For example, claiming “my share is small, so I take from public funds” is unacceptable.
🔖 Some sin while coveting others’ wealth and reputation, assuming Allah forgives all. One must beware: following the ego can close the heart to repentance, depriving one of opportunity to seek forgiveness.

Muslims

🔖 Some appear Muslim—they speak well and claim devotion to God—but they harm people and the economy, harbor grudges, and harm both humans and animals. In reality, they are merely smooth-talking.
🔖 Others sacrifice their lives and wealth for the sake of Allah, seeking His pleasure; these are sincere servants of God.
🔖 Allah, after describing these two types of Muslims, instructs all to fully enter Islam. A true Muslim must implement prayer, zakat, fasting, and religious obligations in daily life.
🔖 O Muslims! Fully embrace Islam and be true believers and sincere followers. Idolatry, polytheism, and vile vices are forbidden. Do not covet others’ property or dignity out of jealousy. Avoid attachment to worldly pleasures that harm religion, ethics, or the community’s economy.
🔖 Courage and manliness are the essence of humanity, yet they are destroyed when one’s heart is attached to worldly love. A person loses the power to defend and avoids dying in the path of Allah.
🔖 When you are a true believer and Muslim, accept religion fully, so that happiness and success will be yours. The Companions were genuine Muslims, whose faith, deeds, and ethics influenced the entire world.
🔖 Our duty is to invite the community to return to its roots and to cultivate in ourselves the “deeds,” “devotion,” and “sincerity” of the Companions. Our success lies in acting upon the Qur’an, which provides unparalleled guidance, rules, ethics, and beliefs. Spread the ethics and character of the Prophet to draw closer to Allah.

Divine Relationship

🔖 Standing before Allah evokes awe and reverence. Fear Him! Do not commit sins or act arrogantly against Him. Establish a connection with God and remember Him.
🔖 In this land, scholars, devout elders, merchants, women, and people of all walks have been pious and righteous, worshipping Allah in solitude. Keep Allah in your heart and never forget Him, for forgetting God is forgetting oneself, leading to loss. If we succumb to desire and commit forbidden acts, what will become of us?

Prayer

🔖 Allah mentions in the Qur’an two types of pilgrims: some focus on their spouse, rank, wealth, and worldly comfort, caring little for the Hereafter. Their deeds earn no reward, and their Hajj is not accepted.
🔖 Others pray for both this world and the Hereafter. Allah saves them from the punishment of the Hereafter. Their Hajj and prayers are accepted, and Allah grants them success and honor in both worlds.
🔖 Ask Allah for both worldly blessings and the prosperity of the Hereafter. Seeking the Hereafter does not diminish your share of this world. If you ask for both, Allah will grant both; if you seek only the world, Allah will grant only the worldly.
🔖 We need righteous deeds; prayer, zakat, charity, and good deeds have a profound impact. One must fear Allah, prepare for the Hereafter, repent, and fulfill the rights of those entitled to them.

Employment

🔖 Create employment opportunities for the people. Many are pleased when they see others engaged in work and earning a lawful livelihood.
🔖 Providing jobs and work for people is the best form of worship. It surpasses giving charity; enabling people to work is the best support you can offer.
🔖 Those who are educated but lack resources should use their knowledge to help others earn a livelihood. The Prophet cared for both the worldly and spiritual well-being, sustenance, and security of the people; we must emulate this.
🔖 Agriculture, animal husbandry, and trade are essential aspects of life. A successful government is one that revitalizes these sectors.
🔖 Borders hold great potential and opportunities. They should be open to the people so they can earn a living through trade and work. Regional resources must benefit the local population, not be exploited by others.

Lawful Sustenance

🔖 Lawful sustenance is vital. The best livelihood comes from lawful means and personal effort. Lawful earnings bring blessing and facilitate righteous deeds.
🔖 No one can make what Allah has forbidden permissible, or what He has made lawful forbidden. Those who consider the wealth, honor, or life of others “lawful” are mistaken; these things remain forbidden.
🔖 Do not sell religion for worldly gain. Allah provides sustenance and will not abandon His servants. Trust in Allah.

Serving the People of the Province

🔖 Policies must be just and designed for the benefit of the people, particularly for the development of the Makran coasts.
🔖 Educational centers should train the public, and the government must establish active hubs where local people can learn professions and trades to advance alongside development.
🔖 Project experts should come from local communities, and the people must be included in the process. Excluding the people leads to development that does not serve them and causes frustration.
🔖 Dams have been constructed not to supply water to the region, but to cut off water previously used by the people, destroying agriculture and forests. Who authorized such actions?
🔖 Dams must not be managed in ways that deprive people of water for agriculture and daily needs. Water for drinking and farming must be ensured for the local population.
🔖 Islamic principles and laws must be observed, and people’s needs must be prioritized.
🔖 We urge the authorities of Sistan and Baluchestan Province to resolve the region’s water issues and ensure that policies focus on the welfare of the people; their interests must always come first.
🔖 The Prophet Muhammad collected zakat and spent it locally to meet the needs of the people before allocating it elsewhere.
🔖 People have a rightful share of water for drinking and agriculture, and this right must be upheld. We hope officials take this seriously to ensure public satisfaction.
🔖 Gratitude is due to benefactors, both within Iran and abroad. They support hospitals and schools. For instance, a woman in Germany funded a hospital for cancer treatment. Anyone who engages in such charitable work will be rewarded by Allah. During floods, these volunteers also served selflessly.
🔖 Many roads remain incomplete or in need of repair. May the authorities of the province and the government address these issues, God willing.

Selected Excerpts of Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid’s Speech at the Ceremony Honoring the Memorizers of the Holy Qur’an and Female Graduates…

[7

post-3653","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-speeches
["GET
