Selected Remarks of Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid in a Meeting with Scholars and Students of Chabahar at J\u0101mi\u2018a al-Haramayn al-Sharifayn \/ Sunday, November 16th, 2025:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\ud83d\udd38 J\u0101mi\u2018a al-Haramayn al-Sharifayn is a scientific center that benefits society. It has produced the best scholarly and practical outputs, conveying the true knowledge and practice of the Holy Sanctuaries to the community.
\ud83d\udd38 May Allah make this center and other academic institutions enduring, so they can continue to provide the scholarly services needed by society.
\ud83d\udd38 We should assess societal conditions and align our programs with current circumstances.
\ud83d\udd38 Both domestically and abroad, people face conditions that lead them to stray from religion. We must bring people closer to Islam, reducing hostility and aversion to the faith, and present the true face of religion.
\ud83d\udd38 When people in Iran and the world see the true face of Islam, regardless of their sect or inclination, their aversion will vanish, and many global problems will be resolved.
\ud83d\udd38 Chabahar is a tourist region with significant domestic and international movement. The responsibility of scholars and locals here is considerable.
\ud83d\udd38 These arrivals present opportunities. Two tasks must be undertaken in this region: first, the city\u2019s external development, ensuring prosperity and beauty while following urban planning principles. The government should lead this, with support from the people. We are hosts; guests will come whether we wish it or not, so we must prepare to welcome and serve them.
\ud83d\udd38 The second task is to develop the region spiritually and ethically, treating people with good morals and compassion so that they reconsider their view of religion, realizing that religion itself is not flawed\u2014the problem lies with individuals.
\ud83d\udd38 It is a wrong against religion if our actions cause people to distrust or despise it.
\ud83d\udd38 When we behave poorly, people do not distrust us personally but rather the religion itself.
\ud83d\udd38 The era of harsh and aggressive behavior is over; we must act with good morals.
\ud83d\udd38 Muslims treated the captives of Badr with kindness; they did not kill them but freed them.
\ud83d\udd38 On the day of the conquest of Mecca, the Prophet said, \u201cToday is a day of mercy,\u201d and did not allow anyone to be harmed. The people of Mecca embraced Islam; had the Prophet killed them, they would have resisted and not accepted Islam.
\ud83d\udd38 The Prophet softened the hearts of enemies with wisdom. We should adopt the same approach and avoid causing offense to friends.
\ud83d\udd38 We must purify (tazkiyah) the people. Tazkiyah was one of the goals of the Prophet\u2019s mission. Encourage people to pray, fast, give zakat, follow Shariah, and avoid sin. All these are in line with tazkiyah.
\ud83d\udd38 People must adhere to religion and adopt the excellent morals of the Prophet. This ethics can influence Nowruz guests, travelers, and tourists, demonstrating that the essence of religion, the Companions, the Ahl al-Bayt, and the Prophet are not flawed; any corruption lies with individuals.
\ud83d\udd38 In Chabahar, along the roads, and throughout the province, love and compassion should spread among people. Our conduct should demonstrate that Islam is a religion of mercy, kindness, respect, and the upholding of human rights. This can protect us and make us influential rather than merely influenced.
\ud83d\udd38 Women should observe the modesty prescribed by religion and treat people with good morals, so others are positively influenced by their modesty and chastity. The Khadijah al-Kubra School and virtuous sisters can play a significant role in this regard.
\ud83d\udd38 Nothing has greater impact than compassion, hospitality, good ethics, and respect.
\ud83d\udd38 Islam has spread in the world through ethics. In many countries, such as Indonesia\u2014with the largest Muslim population globally\u2014people embraced Islam without war, influenced by the good morals of Muslims.
\ud83d\udd38 Students should not study solely to become mosque imams. They must become guides for the community, mentors to their people, servants of Islam, preachers, reformers, educators, and orators. They should prepare themselves accordingly.
\ud83d\udd38 Work toward educating and purifying the people and developing the region materially and spiritually.
\ud83d\udd38 Let us adopt good ethics. Faith, proper conduct, and moral excellence are the strongest weapons and can have the greatest impact on society.
\ud83d\udd38 One of the greatest sources of strength and means to gain Allah\u2019s pleasure is sincerity (ikhlas).
\ud83d\udd38 Acquire knowledge solely for Allah\u2019s pleasure and to fulfill your duty; do not seek fame or worldly benefits.
\ud83d\udd38 Sincerity and devotion to Allah bring success, connect you to Allah\u2019s mercy, and ensure your success in life.
\ud83d\udd38 We should engage in frequent Istighfar (seeking forgiveness). Perform Istighfar after prayers and at the conclusion of sermons, as mistakes may occur during the sermon or one may be affected by the vice of seeking fame.
\ud83d\udd38 We currently live in difficult times where people challenge religion in the world. We must act in a way that demonstrates that Islam is a religion of action, goodness, ethics, and humanity.
\ud83d\udd38 Employ wisdom, guiding people through reason, logic, and good morals.
