This incident, which left dozens dead and over a thousand injured and caused enormous financial losses, was a very large and shocking tragedy.
He added: We are deeply saddened by this incident and stand alongside all our compatriots, especially the families who lost loved ones or whose property was destroyed.

The Bandar Abbas Incident Was “Hard for the People to Accept”; They Expect Transparency
The Friday Imam of Zahedan continued: This incident was hard for the people to accept, and they therefore expect proper transparency so they can understand what happened: was it the work of a foreign enemy or domestic? Were the items that caught fire commercial goods, chemical fertilizers, or something else?
He stated that “there has been much talk about the causes of the Bandar Abbas incident,” adding: Usually in public comments and especially in the media, everyone gives their own opinion, often with exaggeration and excess; but in such cases, the best approach is for the country’s officials and those knowledgeable in the matter to communicate the facts and truths — this reduces public confusion and problems.

Transparency and Disclosure of Facts Benefit Everyone
Mawlana Abdolhamid added: Our recommendation to the media is that on such matters, they should reflect the facts based not on speculation, but on investigation and research. The duty of the media is to report the truth, and it is appropriate that the relevant officials give the media the freedom to openly report whatever the reality is.
He emphasized: Reflecting facts and truths in incidents and events benefits everyone. Perhaps disclosing some facts has certain consequences, but the consequences of transparency and truth-telling are far less than those of hiding facts and lacking transparency.

Most of the Constitution’s Drafters Have Passed Away; Many Articles Need Revision
The Friday Imam of Zahedan continued in his Friday sermon: It has been said before that many articles of the country’s constitution have problems. Most of those who drafted this constitution have passed away, and now a new generation with new needs has emerged. Therefore, many articles of this constitution have not provided solutions and have led to public dissatisfaction. If the constitution were revised and passed through the lens of the people, experts, and elites, public satisfaction would be achieved.
He noted: Unfortunately, one of the persistent problems in our country is that even this law is not applied equally to all. Many feel powerful and treat the country as their personal property, doing whatever they please.

No Institution, Organization, or Department Should Act Above the Law; The Law Must Be Equally Applied to All
Mawlana Abdolhamid added: The root of many of the country’s problems is that many consider themselves above the law and are not bound by it, whereas the same law that applies to an ordinary citizen must also apply to the president, ministers, officials, institutions, and organizations. No institution or body should act above the law, and the law must be applied equally to all; this can bring hearts closer, strengthen the nation, and reduce problems.
He noted: One of the former presidents once publicly said — and everyone heard — that many of the country’s port docks are not legal and their transactions are outside government control. When such issues exist, when there’s no law and order and the goods moving through ports are not legal, problems inevitably arise.
The Friday Imam of Zahedan emphasized: While the country faces foreign threats and domestic discontent, officials must remain alert and vigilant so national interests are not harmed. There is a need for authorities and decision-makers to reconsider many matters and make changes so that justice, fairness, and equality prevail, and the law is applied equally to all Iranian citizens, regardless of ethnicity, religion, belief, or gender.

We Welcome the Plan for “Official Recruitment of Local Forces Into the Provincial Police”
Mawlana Abdolhamid, continuing his remarks at the Friday prayers in Zahedan, referred to the provincial police’s announcement of the official recruitment of local forces and said: Recently, the police announced that they plan to officially recruit personnel from among the local population.
He added: Recruiting personnel from all ethnicities and sects into the armed forces has long been one of the people’s key demands. Fulfilling this demand plays an important role in maintaining order and security. As has been the case in past governments and as is common worldwide, all citizens are engaged in the armed forces.
The Friday Imam of Zahedan emphasized: We welcome this initiative and expect that this plan will also be implemented in other ethnic regions of the country where there are criticisms regarding the lack of ethnic and sectarian representation in the armed forces; this would benefit the country.

Drivers Should Observe Traffic Laws Inside and Outside Cities
In the final part of his Friday prayer remarks, Mawlana Abdolhamid advised drivers to observe traffic laws and said: My advice to dear drivers is to follow traffic regulations both inside and outside the cities. If a driver disregards the rules and someone is killed, it counts as murder. Unfortunately, there have been many cases where, due to reckless driving, we have lost useful people who were national assets.
He added: Driving inside or outside cities is only permissible if no harm comes to anyone’s life or property. Some drivers speed excessively and weave or race in traffic, resulting in their own death or killing others. All such actions that lead to human or financial loss are, from a religious perspective, impermissible and forbidden.

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid, today (May 2nd , 2025), during the Friday prayer ceremony in Zahedan, expressed his sorrow over the explosion incident at Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas and offered condolences to the bereaved families, calling on the authorities…

[7

post-3559","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-speeches
["GET
