The most influential Sunni leader in Iran demanded equal rights and opportunities for Iranian Sunnis in employments, distribution of posts and religious freedom in the 28th graduation ceremony of Darululoom Zahedan on Thursday 4th April, 2019.<\/p>\n
The official website of Shaikh-ul-Islam Maulana Abdol-Hamid reported that he had urged in his speech that \u201cextremism and bigotry are in contrary to Islam\u201d and Sunnis of Iran oppose \u201cany kind of violence, sectarianism and insecurity\u201d.<\/p>\n
In the gathering of Iranian Sunnis where more than 150.000 citizens were present, he said: \u201cBigotry and intolerance are the roots of many challenges in the Muslim world. The prophet PBUH abided with his treaties always, even with infidels who ousted him from Makkah and Jews. The prophet never violated his treaties. We miss the open-mindness and tolerance of Sahabah and Ahl-ul-Bayt. \u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis ceremony is not only for the Sunni community, rather it is for all and we are well-wishers of everyone in the world. Iranian Sunnis are against insecurity in their country as well as in other countries. We oppose war and violence and worked hard as much as we could to stop insecurity in our country,\u201d Friday imam of Zahedan added more.<\/p>\n
He called on \u201cdialogue\u201d and negotiation among Muslims and termed it solution to Yemen, Syria and Iraq crises.<\/p>\n
No hate for anyone!<\/strong> The most influential Iranian Sunni leader said: \u201cThe Sunni community of Iran has not left any excuse for the authorities. They have been active and present in all national and domestic fields. I feel that the Supreme Leader is satisfied with the Sunni community.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe want equal chances for competent Shia and Sunni individuals in order to give them opportunity for servicing the country. We accept we have freedom, but in the towns and regions where Sunnis are in minority, they cannot build mosques and worship freely,\u201d he underlined.<\/p>\n Shaikh Abdol-Hamid concluded his points by saying: \u201cIf the historic order of the Supreme Leader about removing discrimination among religious communities is implemented, all problems of the Sunni community would have been resolved. We hope the officials will execute the orders of the Supreme Leader with open minds.\u201d<\/p>\n Message of the gathering<\/strong> \u201cThe only way to break all political and social deadlocks is returning to Allah Almighty. We follow one nation cause. There are Muslims who either have no interest in Islam or they go to extremes and ignore huge capacity of Islam,\u201d he added more.<\/p>\n Khateeb of Sunnis addressed the attendees of the 28th graduation ceremony of Darululoom Zahedan and said: \u201cI\u2019d like to thank all of you; you are our guests and hosts are like slaves for the guests as some people say. We apologize for shortcomings as we cannot host you as you deserve. You have come here to respect knowledge and you are here for the sake of the Almighty Allah.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis great and big gathering is the fruit of the sincerity of Allamah Maulana Abdol-Aziz, the founder of this seminary. You see the results of my colleagues\u2019 efforts and donations of Zahedan\u2019s people. \nShaikh Abdol-Hamid shed light on the message of the gathering and said: \u201cReturning to Allah is the message of this gathering. Unfortunately Muslims claim more and act less. Selfishness has exceeded honesty and sincerity. Sahabah, first of all, fought against their egos and selves.\u201d<\/p>\n
