Mawlana Abdol-Hamid has called on Ulama to not escape from their duties and think and plan how to carry out their duties in a better way.
\nTalking to Darululoom Zahedan\u2019s alumni on Thursday 29th Dec. 2017, he said: \u201cThe duty of \u2018enjoining to good and forbidding from bad\u2019 and \u2018preaching the Qur\u2019an and Sunnah\u2019 has been put on the shoulders of Ummah, especially Ulama.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is a very heavy duty to guide and educate people. Islam has been spread in the world by \u2018thinking\u2019, \u2018struggle\u2019 and \u2018serious efforts\u2019. We should not be heedless about sinful people,\u201d he added more.<\/p>\n
The president of Darululoom Zahedan added more: \u201cThe number of calamities has gone up. Earthquakes and wars have increased. There is no calmness and worries have increased. They are lashes of God. These calamities are the results of weakness in faith and acts.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Noble Qur\u2019an is the biggest miracle with the most influence. Teaching this great book is the main duty of Ulama. We can get victory by recitation, prayers, donations and acting upon Shari\u2019ah and Mustahabbat\/recommended acts,\u201d he added more.<\/p>\n
Shaikh-ul-Hadith of Darululoom Zahedan called on his students to make plans for the reformation of society and said: \u201cEscapism from duties does not suit Ulama. If someone escapes from his duties, he will see the divine punishment. Think individually and congregationally how to carry out responsibilities.\u201d<\/p>\n
In another part of his speech, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid urged on respecting law by people and authorities. He said: \u201cRespect the law of Allah and country. But I mean the legal and written laws, not personal views of some officials which are not laws.\u201d<\/p>\n
He addressed Ulama and said: \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid of authorities\u2019 personal laws and views. The constitution has given us freedom. If someone wants to restrict us, put the law before him, because all officials of the country owe their legitimacy to the constitution.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed the constitution a \u2018national pact\u2019 and called on all people and groups of the society to respect law.<\/p>\n
